THE EVENTS
#1 Winthrop Town Trail - 5K Rated 2A 10 K rated 2B In addition to walking Winthrop's town boardwalks, the new town route includes the Meadowlark trail with wildflowers and views of the town from above. #2 Patterson Mt Loop Trail 5k rated 1B 6k/8k rated 4B Get above it all with this walk on the Patterson Mt Loop. Enjoy lake views and the mountains. 1200 elevation gain on this trail. Also included at this location is a 5k walk on Beaver Pond Loop. DISCOVER PASS REQUIRED For 6/8k Option #3 Rex Derr Trail/Lake Pearrygin State Park 5k/7k/10k rated 2B Views abound as you walk the Rex Derr Trail. The walk is entirely within Pearrygin Lake State Park. DISCOVER PASS REQUIRED #4 Mazama and Twisp 5k/10K rated 1B *This event is 2- 5k walks in towns outside of Winthrop.* Mazama is 13 miles NW of Winthrop on HWY 20. Walk the Methow Community Trail system in the Mazama area. Walk on relatively flat trails through open fields with views of the mountains. Twisp is 9 mile SE of Winthrop. Walk the town and trails enjoying art of Twisp. PRO TIP: Walk Twisp during the farmers market 9-12 Saturday mornings and enjoy the doughnuts. #5 Riser Lake/Lewis Butte Riser 6K rated 2B Lewis Butte 10k 3B No Butte 9k 2B Three hikes from the same trailhead. Riser lake is a 6k walk through the meadows around Riser Lake. Across the road is the trail to Lewis Butte which has an elevation gain of 900 ft. with view in all directions. This year there is a "No Butte" option which loops behind the butte instead of climbing it. DISCOVER PASS REQUIRED PRO TIP: Best early in the morning or evening as there is no shade on the walk. #6 Bike the Methow 10k, 20k & 30k options for biking in the Methow Valley |

In Person registration will be May 9, 10 & 11. Register, ask questions, get directions and stamps between 9am & noon. We will be set up in front of the Winthrop Ice Rink. ( Winthrop Town Trailhead ) 208 White Ave, Winthrop, WA 98862 OSB available May 5-20 No socials or group walks are planned . Winthrop will be celebrating 49er Days May 10-12, 2024.
